2nd OCTOBER - DAY 1

In Nørresundby at last

On Wednesday morning we left from Correggio at 6 to reach the airport of Bologna. After an endless check-in we finally got on the plane to Amsterdam where we arrived in perfect time. From here we took the second plane of the day less than an hour after to finally get to Aalborg. When we landed in Denmark the impact was immediately traumatic because of the climate which was totally different from ours: in fact one of us got off the plane with only a T-shirt and she was just freezing.
After retrieving all the luggage and the phone that Armando had left on the plane, we took two busses to get to school. Here we were greeted by our Danish hosts with cakes and coffee and after a short chat we were accompanied to visit the school. It is extremely different from ours, much more modern with bigger classrooms and more avant-garde laboratories. In addition to the structure of the school, the method of teaching, organizing and learning is very different. At school they have a lot of cute sofas where you can relax whenever you want, they also have some blackboards out of the classes where the students can explain to each other the arguments that they don’t understand, there is also a Football table and a lot of tables where students can just work in group or do some homework.
Right after we all went to our homes for that week and we had dinner for the first time with typical Danish food. The food was unexpectedly very good but the real strange thing was that we had dinner at 6 pm while we usually eat some hours later. After dinner we didn’t do much because we were all very tired and so some of us watched a movie, some others went to bed early and the others spent some time with the host family.
